Church of the Broken God

Church of the Broken God is a fictional religion built within the SCP foundation Mythos, and centers around the worship of a long dead mechanical God: Mekhane. Practitioners of the Faith often seek to emulate their deity via body modification, with the highest echelons becoming highly robotic in appearance.
The SCP foundation as a whole was and still is very influential to me, I have been visiting the site since 2011, very near the beginning of the very concept of SCP. In particular though, the CotBG was my chosen favorite. The clashes between it and the various Sarkic cults in biblical wars captured my imagination. I would even go so far as to consider myself an adherent, though given my complete lack of piercings, prosthesis, or implants, perhaps this is merely wishful thinking.
But is it not beautiful to imagine? Twisted braids of iron and copper, bronze and steel, working in tandem like one's own body, but magnified tenfold in a colossus which puts Rhodes to shame. And when you look closely at the minutiae, it is no slipshod heap of welded slag, but a magnificent arrangement of gears, cables, screws and pulleys, which form a tapestry on which Mekhane's theogeny sings.
